One day, while enjoying a cup of coffee at her local coffee shop, Ali Warner sees a mysterious African man telling fortunes to a woman in the coffee shop. Unable to resist, Ali asks the man, Kanayo, to read her fortune. After Kanayo correctly predicts that Ali will be offered a new job, she returns day after day to discover what her future holds. Kanayo’s fortunes continue to come true as he correctly predicts that Ali will receive unexpected money and her airplane to Chicago will crash. Ali is convinced of Kanayo’s powers and refuses to make any move without consulting him first. Ali’s best friend Seth, becomes increasingly worried that Ali is addicted to Kanayo and urges her to stay away from him. However, after one day without seeing Kanayo, Ali is unable to function without him. Ali’s dependence on Kanayo ultimately results in his death, leaving Ali to live her life in the hands of fate.

 

Fair Warning

A flower shop clerk, Tina Bishop, is working late one evening when she is visited by a man named George. Although George insists that Tina had helped him once at a Laundromat, although she cannot remember ever meeting him. George proceeds to explain that he intends to kill Tina unless she is able to stop him, than suddenly disappears when she dials 911. Tina’s co-worker helps her track down George later that day, but he mysteriously denies ever meeting Tina when confronted by the police. Later that evening, George returns to confront Tina again in the flower shop, recalling past events when Tina was mistreated by her boyfriend. After accusing George of stalking her, Tina tries to run away but finds her boyfriend Ryan in the shop. Ryan searches for George in the front of the store, but finds no one there. Minutes later, George confronts Tina again outside in a parking lot, telling her that she will die unless she leaves her boyfriend. This time, however, the police can prove through videotape that Ryan was beating George at the same time she reported seeing him in the parking lot. Tina later follows George and confronts him at his store, but again George denies ever being in contact with Tina. With everyone believing that Tina has just been hallucinating, she returns home to confront the images of George and to determine for herself if they are real or not.
