Harsh Mistress

Directed by: Brad Turner

Starring: Lukas Haas, Sticky Fingaz, Tangi Miller

Cory Williams is a young aspiring musician with much to be desired in the talent department. He has dreams of becoming a famous rock star, and has finally saved up enough money to buy the same type of guitar that his rock star idol, Bobby McCain, used until his tragic suicide. When he brings his new guitar home, Cory discovers that not only does the guitar have the same markings as Bobby McCain’s, but it also has bloodstains, presumably from McCain’s self-inflicted gun wound. Cory quickly realizes that this was McCain’s guitar. When Cory plays the guitar, his talent increases exponentially. Even his best friend, Rickey, cannot believe his ears. Cory uses his newfound talent to secure a record deal and soon becomes a famous rock star with record-breaking album sales and the girl of his dreams, Ashley, by his side; however Cory begins to realize that the guitar is not the miracle he thought it was.
